How do I register?

It's free to join drinkingpartners.com

Click here to register. Simply complete our registration and you can begin contacting members instantly. You will be asked to complete a simple profile, add a short description of yourself and add a picture to increase your response rate.

Why is my email address not being accepted?

Most likely your email address is already on our database. Click here to retrieve your login details. Once logged in you can edit your profile, upload a new picture, or change your email address. If you do not receive an email please contact us here.

My Account

How do I change my password?

To change your password login to your account and click on the ‘account settings’ tab. Change it to something memorable and never reveal your password to anyone else.

Contacting Members

How do I make contact with other members?

You can send a 'hello' free to any member or add them as a friend. If you wish to send them a message, just click on 'Send Message' when viewing their profile. You can send messages for free, but to read any messages you receive you will need to upgrade your subscription status.

My Profile

How do I complete my profile?

It’s easy to complete your profile and this can be done by clicking on the ‘my profile’ tab when logged into your account. You can add/edit your profile as many times as you wish.

Why is my profile description not showing?

All profiles have to be approved by us before they appear live on the site. We generally approve all profiles within 24 hours of uploading. If your description is still not showing, it generally means that we do not find the content suitable, for example a personal email address, telephone number, website address, etc.

How do I delete my profile?

Rather than delete your profile, you can hide it from the search results and choose not to receive any alerts, and reactivate it when you want to use your account again. If you’d rather delete your account, please email us your account ID or email address & password to customercare@drinkingpartners.com asking us to remove your profile.

Can I change my username?

Once you have registered you cannot change your username, if however you want this changed please email us at customercare@drinkingpartners.com.

Alerts

Do you send out email alerts?

We send you automatic email alerts when:

  • Someone sends you a message
  • Someone says hello to you
  • Someone has read your message
  • Someone views your profile
  • Someone adds you as a friend
  • Someone joins who matches your settings

I no longer wish to receive alerts. Is this possible?

If you no longer wish to receive alerts then simply untick the relevant tick box(s) at the bottom of your ‘account settings’ page.

My Photo

Do I need to upload a photo?

We know members who upload a photo get up to 8 times better response than those who don’t. It’s free to upload a photo and don’t worry it doesn’t have to be perfect. Pictures of an offensive nature will be deleted.

I can’t upload my photo.

To upload a photo go to your 'my photo' page and follow the instructions. Make sure your photograph is in JPEG format and doesn't exceed 1MB. If you get stuck send it to us at customercare@drinkingpartners.com including your login details.

To delete your photo, please contact us and confirm you wish to delete it, including your username and password. Once confirmed, your photo will be deleted within 24 hours.

Why was my photo refused?

Every photo has to be approved by our moderation team before going live on the site. Here are some basic rules to follow when choosing a picture:

  • No rude or obscene pictures
  • No contact information displayed
  • No digitally altered or studio shots
  • You must be easily identifiable from your picture

My Subscription

Which subscription options are available?

You can register with DrinkingPartners, create a profile, upload your photo, see your own matches, send hellos, see who has viewed your profile, and add members as friends, all for free.

If you wish to read written messages, send group messages or instantly chat to other members you will need to purchase a lifetime subscription for a one off payment of £19.95.

We invest a whole lot of money into finding members from every town in your country, so that we can give you the best possible chance of making new friends!

How can I pay for my subscription?

You can pay for your subscription to DrinkingPartners via PayPal or by credit/debit card if you prefer. Once we receive your subscription, you will be sent a confirmation email to say we have safely received your payment.

What is your refund policy?

If you haven’t had any successful dialogue with other members within three months we’ll refund your full subscription to you. If you’d like a refund please email us at customercare@drinkingpartners.com with the reason. All we ask is that you have initiated contact with other members.

What’s the best way to make friends on Drinking Partners?

Just follow these simple steps:

  • Upload a photo and complete an interesting description of yourself
  • Make sure your account settings are set to receive alerts
  • Check your inbox to make sure you’re receiving our emails. If not please check your spam folder.
  • Search our database and view the profiles of suitable members
  • Send a hello to suitable members and immediately follow this up with a short personal message
  • Login regularly to view your messages and check for new members in your area

What happens which I click ‘Say Hello’?

When you view another member’s profile and click ‘Say Hello’ they will receive a notification to say you have said hello to them! It lets members know quickly that you are interested in speaking to them.

Is it free to send messages?

Yes, it’s completely free to send individual messages. When your messages have been read you will be sent an automatic email alert.

Do you organise events?

No we don’t but you have the facility to organise group events yourself through the site.

How can I organise events?

It’s easy to organise events through Drinking Partners. All you have to do is send a group message to your list of friends or to all members matching your search settings.

To eliminate members misusing this service, group messages are only made available to subscribed members.

Privacy & Safety

Can I hide another member’s profile?

You can hide another member’s profile so they’ll no longer appear in your search results, by clicking the small ‘x’ in the top right hand corner of their mini profile on the search results.

Can I hide my own profile?

You can hide your own profile so you longer appear visible to other members by clicking ‘Hide my profile’ in the left hand column of your account page.

Can I report another member?

Yes. If you experience a bad encounter from another member click on ‘Report Member’ in the left hand column of their profile, and explain why you wish to report them. We will look into it for you as quickly as possible.

How do you make the site safe?

At DrinkingPartners.com our aim is to provide you with a fun and safe environment in which to make new friends. When meeting up with people for the first time, please always follow the simple guidelines below:

  • Never meet members without seeing their photo first
  • Try to talk on the phone before meeting, asking such questions as where they work etc
  • Always tell someone where you are going and who you are meeting
  • Always take a mobile phone with you
  • Do not reveal your address to anyone without meeting them first, or any other sensitive information
  • Meet in a public area, such as inside a bar, restaurant or pub
  • Never drink and drink
  • If you do drink, visit drinkaware to find out just how much you should be drinking on a night out
  • If you experience any inappropriate behaviour from another member please contact us as soon as possible through the 'contact us' page. A customer service representative will deal with your email as quickly as possible and if the behaviour is deemed inappropriate we will remove the member from our site.

All profiles and photos are checked before they go online at DrinkingPartners.com. Our team reviews all profiles and photos submitted before deciding if they are suitable.

We also check whether the detail given in a member's profile is consistent with the related description and photo. Any photo or profile, which are improper or vulgar, and contains either a telephone number or an email address, will be rejected.
